The trusting fool.

Some people shared with the congregation the miraculous provision and divine intervention experienced after their long period of waiting. He later reflected on the story of Abraham who waited on creator for the promised child for good twenty- five year.

He wondered whether he would have the strength to wait further for what he had been expecting from creator. In the course of the week, some friend advised him on several short cuts to get what he wanted without having to wait on creator.

He heard of people who succeeded in getting what they wanted after compromising their stand with him. He was called a trusting fool by his friends; this made him queried creator ’why?’

In an instant world of ours that believes so much in prompt gratification, an average people at times wonders if it is worth waiting on him. He usually loses his peace and patience as he hears of the tremendous achievement made by people.

The most high is saying “be still and know that I am creator.” Knowing creator’s will and timing requires stillness and quietness in his presence. It is only through this that we can draw strength to walk in his will.

Creator has his own way which can neither be changed nor manipulated by man. However, man reserves the power to choose between creator’s own way and the way of the flesh. It is not often palatable to go is own way but it is always rewarding at the end of the day.
