Hola queridos lectores, curadores y comunidad en general, en esta publicación realizo mi entrada a iniciativa de @theycallmedan que ha estado haciendo diferentes y entretenidas iniciativas desde hace varias semanas y además la comunidad de @votovzla ha traído a todos los usuarios de habla hispana.

¿Qué significa para mi la libertad de expresión? - What does freedom of expression mean to me?

La libertad de expresión es un derecho que todos los seres humanos tenemos para poder decir cada cosa que se nos viene a la mente y que todos los demás deben saber respetar aunque no estén de acuerdo con lo que uno haya dicho. Disculpan mi forma de decirlo pero es lo que en realidad pienso, ademas, de eso se trata la publicación, puedo decir lo que pienso de mi manera.

Cada día en todo el mundo se observan casos de censura hacia cualquier persona solo porque no se comparten los mismos puntos de vista, o manera de pensar, esto pasa desde el mas pequeño hogar hasta los mas grandes países.
En mi país llevamos años luchando para mantener a flote este tema, pues la mayoría de los medios de comunicación transparentes han sido censurados o no se permite transmitir las informaciones como se debe, por lo que las redes sociales han formado parte fundamental en la forma en que nos enteramos de lo que pasa y también para poder compartir nuestra opinión.

The right that all human beings have to be able to say everything that comes to mind and that everyone else must know how to respect, even if they disagree with what one has said. Excuse my way of saying it but it is what I really think, besides, that is what the publication is about, I can say what I think in my own way.
Every day throughout the world there are cases of censorship against anyone just because they do not share the same points of view, or way of thinking, this happens from the smallest home to the largest countries.
In my country we have spent years fighting to keep this issue afloat, since most of the transparent media have been censored or are not allowed to transmit the information as they should, so social networks have played a fundamental role in the way that we find out what is happening and also to be able to share our opinion.

¿Creo que vale la pena salvar la libertad de expresión? - I think freedom of expression is worth saving?

Definitivamente SI, un mundo en el que nadie pueda compartir su opinión sobre algún tema o que no existan distintas maneras de pensar seria un mundo muerto, en donde todos seriamos como robots, recibiendo alguna orden o mandato y teniendo que obedecer sin ningun derecho a opinar o tratar de dar nuestro punto de vista.

¿En que nos convertiríamos si esto llegara a pasar?, seriamos cuerpos sin alma, simples errantes caminando por los caminos cumpliendo ordenes y sometiéndonos frente a los que impongan la ley.

Definitely YES, a world in which no one can share their opinion on any subject or where there are no different ways of thinking would be a dead world, where we would all be like robots, receiving some order or mandate and having to obey without any right to express an opinion or try to give our point of view.
What would we become if this were to happen? We would be bodies without souls, simple wanderers walking the roads, following orders and submitting ourselves to those who enforce the law.

¿Por qué creo que es importante? - Why do I think it is important?

La libertad de expresión para mi tiene un significado muy importante, basado en el respeto. Digo esto porque todo el que respete a los demás también sabrá apreciar y apoyar lo que esa persona diga.

Dicho valor en mi opinión, ha sido uno de los que mas se ha perdido en esta nueva sociedad, donde los niños y adolescentes han perdido el respeto hacia las personas mayores, es en esa etapa donde debe reforzarse la inclusión de este valor, y les aseguro que cuando esos niños sean adultos sabrán respetar de todas las maneras posibles y por lo tanto la libertad de expresarse libremente estará garantizada.

Freedom of expression for me has a very important meaning, based on respect. I say this because everyone who respects others will also appreciate and support what that person says.
This value, in my opinion, has been one of the most lost in this new society, where children and adolescents have lost respect for the elderly, it is at this stage that the inclusion of this value should be reinforced, and I assure that when these children are adults they will know how to respect in all possible ways and therefore the freedom to express themselves freely will be guaranteed.
