Steemmonsters tournaments

in #steemmonsters5 years ago

Hello friends I hope you are very well, although steemmonster is still booming I have noticed certain things that are attracting my attention, and it seems that some people are buying steemmonster gold cards with the hope of entering exclusive gold tournaments to earn money, Among the collectible card games there have always been cards with alternative art (in case of steemmonster they are gold) they are always more expensive because they are scarcer and the players buy them exclusively, not because they have monetary retribution in tournaments of only that type of letters.

Winning money in any game of this type should be the main reason, nor the creators of steemmonster should promote earning money as a main asset, in all successful games of this type money is always something secondary and taken care of and it is not something that is in a third plane.

In almost all successful games either collectible cards or video games, most players always want to be in competitive leagues (this is where there are good prizes and not least there is "recognition" of the community) and while it is true that money must be invested in most games, what more you have to invest to reach competitive levels is a LONG TIME.

I am not an expert in marketing or strategies for a collectible card game to be successful, but I am going to comment on what I have seen that has worked in other games and how I think the steemmonster tournaments should be.

  1. The tournaments (beginners) for the first invoker levels (LVL 1 to LVL3): I consider that there should be no prizes in STEEM or SBD, only steemmonster packages.

  2. The (amateur) tournaments for invoker levels (LVL 4 to LVL 6): I consider that the prizes should be half reinforcement packs and half in crypts.

  3. Tournaments (experienced) for invoker levels (LVL 6 to LVL 8): I consider that the prizes should be half reinforcement packs and half in crypts, (only that the amount of reinforcement packs and the prize in crypts should be be considerably older than the amateur tournament).

These first three tournaments must have modest prizes

  1. Quarterly tournaments, would be open tournaments (but would require to pay a certain amount of SBD or STEEM to enter) regardless of the level of invoker, these tournaments if they would offer prizes in STEEM and SBD and could also create a special card for participants and winners, but with a 1:10 ratio of the annual tournament in the total amount of the prize, suppose that the annual tournament has a pot of 15,000 SBD, the quarterly tournaments would have a prize of 1,500 SBD. In these tournaments you could play with special requirements such as that the team includes at least one gold monster or do not accept legendary, a tournament could be just common, in short everything that can occur to the creators of the game, Clearly they should announce the format well in advance.

  2. Annual tournament, you should program the existence of some requirements to participate, but not levels in the summoners if not in the quality of the player, a requirement could be to have a minimum number of battles played or also have reached a minimum number in the classification throughout the year, this tournament should have a pretty big prize, it would be fantastic to see an ad that says (1 annual steemmonster tournament $ 25,000 in prizes), apart from having enough publicity on social networks so more people join to the game.

I do not think there should be tournaments of only gold cards or of only alpha version, that would encourage a very small group to buy letters only for economic benefit and steemmonster would be spending resources on a very small group of people while the vast majority would feel Excluded.

I think that apart from the prizes, the winners of the quarterly and annual tournaments must have a public recognition, minimum in a post taken to the trends of steemit where a bit of each of the winners is talked about, apart perhaps it is good that the winners of each season have some place on the page of steemmonster perhaps with some statistics as what were the monsters and summoners most used by that person during the season, I know that all this costs money but you could do without the prizes in crypto they gave in the first season to pay for advertising and consecutive changes on the steemmonster page and leave only the envelopes as a prize in the ranking table.

Well friends, those are my perspectives for the future organization of steemmonster tournaments, I would love to read what you think about it, apart I also think that you should implement some form to limit the use of bots, since you can see that what they are doing is Farming reinforcement envelopes in each season.
