Hi Seemians

This is Hemanth Here with my new

Overall review of Nokia 6.1 Plus

Which has launched just today in India. I will be explaining on the general specifications of this device and will be reviewing it in later stages once I get to use the phone in some time.

Nokia 6.1 Plus.jpg

This will be the first look today of Nokia 6.1 Plus is that true successor of the Nokia 6. This is a true successor as Nokia 6 was having just the Snapdragon 430. It was not that great when I reviewed it few months ago. This is actually a true successor this has a good processor. It is priced in India at 15999. And it is exclusively sold via Flipkart.

Let's see what we get in the box. In the box we will find the device itself which weighs 151 grams. It looks very premium and its build quality is really good. Nokia is known for its build quality right from the beginning. It is having the glass back which is having the 2.5D Curved glass which provides a seamless look and I believe it is having the Gorilla Glass 3 at the front. Will be having the SIM ejector tool, the warranty guide. And I need to tell you that Box doesn't contain any earphones. And it comes with the USB type C cable and the charger brick with Nokia branding on it and it is 5 volts 2 Amps which is technically not a fast charging Technology. This is not a fast charger but the chipset which is 636 does support quick charging. I can't say right now that it supports quick charging as I need to use the device to confirm this thing.

Let's have the physical over look: It looks very premium in your hand and it gives the premium feeling. We have the secondary noise cancellation microphone which is metallic. Again I have to say that the build quality of Nokia 6.1 Plus Looks very solid. We have 3.5 m headphone jack and the microphone at the top, the volume rockers and the power on /off button at the side. And at the bottom we will get the main speakers the main microphone and the type C port at the middle. At the other side we will be having the SIM tray alone. If you look at the SIM tray it looks like it's a hybrid type SIM tray. You can use one Nano sim and a Micro SD card or you can go with two Nano SIMs with this device.
Considering of it having 64 gigabytes open internal storage I personally feel that the internal storage is enough for a normal usage and one can use two Nano SIM in this device. At the back we have the dual camera the Nokia branding and the fingerprint scanner. And this is an Android one device. And Nokia 6.1 Plus has a notch design. And it is up to you that you like the notch design or not.

Let me give you a quick overview of the technical specifications what it consists of:
Quick Specs
Snapdragon 636 SOC (Octa Core)
4GB RAM
5.8 LCD full HD plus screen (19:9) Aspect Ratio.
64GB Internal Storage
Dual sim Nano (Hybrid Slot)
Rear dual camera 16MP + 5MP
Front camera 16MP (Portrait)
3060 mAH Battery
Bundled with Fingerprint / Android 1 / Android Oreo

As it is an Android one device you will get the stock Android experience. If you just check all the Google applications will be installed by default and some Nokia specific support applications will be installed. And if you look at the settings and check with system option it is running on Android 8.1 which is a good thing. And if we look at the internal storage of the device which is a 64 Gigabyte powered device, about 52 Gigabytes is available regarding the storage of this device. And it is having 3060 mAH battery which could be reason to worry. As it is having 5.8 inch screen and the Snapdragon 636 so she is actually good with which I feel the battery life should be good. It is bundled with fingerprint scanner which is pretty responsive and I feel some lag about half a second some time with fingerprint scanner of this device.
Regarding the Sensors: The Device is bundled with Good Sensors like FingerPrint Scanner, gyroscope sensor, accelerometer and the proximity sensors.

Let's look the performance of the camera: This is a Nokia specific camera as I mentioned earlier it is a 16 megapixel plus 5 megapixel rear camera. We will be having the Portrait mode. We will be having the PIP mode You will be having a thumbnail of the front camera at the top left corner of the screen) which uses both the camera simultaneously the front as well as the back. You will be having the bokeh mode which will use the secondary camera for the bokeh effect and you can adjust the bokeh effect with the option given. You can actually increase or decrease the bokeh effect with this option. When we come to the front facing camera the autofocus is there even in the front camera. You also have the dual mode in the front facing camera.

So if go to the quick camera review. The colours are a bit weird and it has a bluish tint and in terms of sharpness and details it is fine but the colours of the sky and The White balance I feel is a bit disappointing and the exposure at some conditions when you have a bright background it looks like it is overblown which could be solved by Nokia I believe with its next software update. And even with the front camera need to be alert while taking the photos otherwise the pictures will be coming out blurry and in the artificial lighting conditions your camera performance is average.

So on the summary of this blog I would like to say that Nokia has done a very good job in this price range which is Rs. 15999/- I personally was expecting very much from the camera. But I am a pretty disappointed with camera performance of the front camera and even the rear camera at some conditions. And regarding the build quality of the device I can say it rocks. I will be giving you the full review of this phone in some days to come.

Good illustration...
If Nokia's collaboration with Android should have been earlier....It could fill maximum market space.

The Symbian could not leave nokia and Nokia couldn't leave Symbian, it was too late for Nokia to come out of symbian, it is now getting comfortable with Android and hope it rock the market again with phones like these.

M really thankful to you for this post :)
Nokia is back💪
All we're expecting that now nokia would launch 6.1 model with price segment 18 to 20 k.... But Nokia surprised everyone by launching 6.1 at Rs.15,999/-

This is 6.1 plus and it's processor is good. A good deal in the given price range. But Xiaomi is offering better specs in a lower price range.

This time a good phone of Nokia has launched in a reasonable price range which will attract the users.. Coz Nokia was one of the most trusted mobile company.. Xiaomi is offering better specs but Xiaomi mid range phones have heating issue..

nokia phone will be very good phone and good service is expected in the coming days.

Yup it holds a kind of legacy when phones are considered

Let's rock ....
