Winter Vacation In Kiev

Last week I came back from a long weekend in Kiev. Even though the main reason for my travel was a family occasion, I still had plenty of time to enjoy the snowy yet sunny weather there.

The day I got there, it was snowing which, for hot weather girl like me it was pretty exciting. Usually this time of the year the temperature is around 15-20 below zero (5°F to -4°F) but lucky this year the temperature was around 1°C to - 6°C. This nice weather allowed us to travel for few hours along the frozen Dnieper river Boardwalk.

So like any person who's not used to snow, I had to built a snowman and sided down some hills. I have to admit, it was extremely fun, and I didn't want to stop, lol.

On my last day I visited the Natalka Park, which is a huge gorges park, with a fantastic view on the Dnieper. The park was full of children playing around and lots of birds and ducks swimming next to the Dnieper's shores. I sure this park gets even more beautiful during the spring and summer when all the trees and flowers starts to blossom.

 

It was a short yet very fun winter vacation, and I can't wait for my next snowy experience.
