Pumpkin Spice Smoothie
Tomorrow is officially the first day of fall, even though in Texas we are still experiencing summer like temperatures, this means it is time to pull out the pumpkin pie spices :) This smoothie is a tasty and healthy way to get into the fall spirit. Pumpkins are full of beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that protects your body from free radicals and reduces your risk for cancer. Beta-carotene along with the Vitamins C and E in pumpkin help support healthy eyes and converts to vitamin A. Pumpkins are also a good source of potassium that helps lower your blood pressure.
- 1 cup unsweet almond and coconut milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin (I used canned, no added sugar)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Congratulations @healthyrecipes! Your post is featured on the Steemitrecipes Daily Picks - Entry 002!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thanks for the receiot. Nice and warm fall to you ;-)
It is going to be 95 here today! and even hotter tomorrow... Not quite fall temps yet.
I really hate pumpkins, but one time i accidentaly tried it. And you know what?
I WAS AMAZED!
This smoothie tastes like fall time to me!
Pumpkin spice rules! I love it.
Me too!
Looks like a healthy recipe indeed!
Thank you
Edit: While this does appear to be very similar to the recipe that Jamba Juice released, @silversteem has confirmed that his wife's smoothie is original. It seems this is a strange pumpkin-ey coincidence.
Flagged at lowest level because she is simply just trolling at this point. This back-loaded, ill intent question was resolved.
@silversteem Your persistent private messages and unwarranted hostility toward me is out of control. As I have already clarified to you and everyone on steemitabuse-classic, my question was meant for clarification purposes only. Since you are so adamant that it is an original recipe, I updated my comment accordingly.
Actually my private messages to you were apologizing for flagging emotionally and thus removing the full weight (please post them here if you want to extend these shenanigans). I find this warranted but it is not hostile. Your question for "clarification" purposes as you call it, was nothing short of an accusation. What i am trying to do is prevent precedence. So when someone goes and posts a peanut butter & jelly sandwich recipe you wont crawl all over it and ask them if they are sure they didnt take it from Skippy or JIF. Flagging you with 100% was uncalled for, flagging you 1% for being a troll is accurate.
@silversteem I never intended (now or ever) to escalate a situation into what this has become and I wouldn't even consider posting your private messages publicly. At this point, it seems like you're on a witch-hunt to see ill-intentions where there never were any. If this truly is an original recipe, then your wife could have immediately responded to my question with, "Wow, my recipe does look similar to Jamba Juice. Great minds think alike, huh?" She has yet to comment anything actually.
You seem to be setting the precedence that whales can illegitimately bully minnows into submission for not agreeing with them. I was trying to make sure this was an original recipe. That doesn't make me a troll.
What started as legitimate question has turned into an unnecessarily huge situation. I explained my honest perspective thoroughly and do not plan on continuing this conversation further.
