Pomegranate Berry Smoothie
This is a great 225 calorie antioxidant and protein filled smoothie. I like the Bluebonnet vanilla whey protein powder. It is a complete protein with no added vitamins or minerals in it. I am still taking prenatal vitamins while I breast feed and therefore should not have the additives, it is possible to have too much of a good thing. If you are vegan there are many great options to choose from. Soy is a complete protein and there are also protein powders made from pea and hemp as well.
- 1 cup unsweet pomegranate juice
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy! This makes 2 servings.
