Life worth leading

The most rewarding question answered by any person is what "What's my purpose here". Its probably the question that the soul asks; not the brain and hence cannot be answered using intellect.

How does someone find their calling- their True calling. What were you born to achieve? What were you put on this earth to change? These are questions, philosophers new and old have been trying to answer. It's the essence of all religions, Ironically, the same religions that people kill and fight to defend.

You often hear people say travel and find yourself or meditate and get in touch with your inner self. The hope is that in finding your true yourself; you find your calling.

I'm not sure if we have a specific purpose to our existence. I don't think we have a specific calling. I believe that we pick up a purpose, find our Why through the journey of life. It could be as simple as being an awesome parent to your children, a great manager to your subordinates or awesome teacher to your students.

Humanity's progress has been leaps and bounds in the recent past but it's been a sum of actions from millions of people and not just a few. In today's world, the concept of success is glorified when it impacts millions of people, like Elon Musk or Bill gates etc. and that's fine. These people have changed the world for so many. However, it's not the template to success and shouldn't be the template to finding your life's purpose.

Be the best that you can be today and treat people and the environment with respect. Have an open mind, change the lenses you see the world in and be open to experiences; you will find your Why , find your way in the world.

To the Steem community; being on this platform is proof enough that we are looking for change and chance to find something new for ourselves. Steem does look like it will impact the lives of many, but its the community that will help get it there. Stay positive, keep dreaming and keep searching.
