Ti Plants

Ti plants were brought to Hawaii by the Polynesians believing them to have divine powers. Today it is believed that having ti plants around a home brings good luck. It is also believed to ward off evil spirits. Ti leaves have many uses like hula skirts, clothing, house thatches, plates, leis, and food wrappers. The leaves are colored green, red, yellow, orange and combinations of these.
