BCN - Table list #02
MónViêt - Sant Antoni
Today's table of my list is the MónViêt - Việtnamese Fơỡđ in the borough of Sant Antoni.
If you are looking for some authentic Viêtnamese dishes in an authentic environment, this place will not disappoint you.
Very nice decorated restaurant, that gives you the feeling of sitting in a busy, kind of unorganized street in Vietnam, enjoying some good street food.
The light installation reminds of the chaotic laying of wires in cities of Vietnam.
BÁNH KHỌT
Crunchy mini-pancakes with rice flour and turmeric dough
NEM CUỐN
Fresh rolls with rice vermicelli, mint, lettuce, fresh vegetables, and Prawns
BÁNH KHỌT and NEM CUỐN 2 very tasty starters
For the main dish, I had to take the SOUP PHỞ as this one is for me the perfect evaluation dish for a Vietnamese Restaurant.
I personally like to add the cilantro, fresh chili, mint, and lime myself so I can add the right amount I like to have at the moment.
However, at the MónViêt the soup comes ready prepared, just optional to add some lime. Fresh Chili was missed but the bottle of Sriracha-Sauce was right on the table.
All in all a great place to have some Vietnamese food, in a nice restaurant with very friendly and quick serving staff.
The price is propitiously for the good quality you get.
For 2, we paid 45€ including beers and wines.
Enjoy!
I enjoy eating food from different cultures but I have never tried authentic Vietnamese food. This post is a reminder that I should try some soon!
Thank you @kirati for reading and your comment. Hope you will find a nice restaurant close to you and don't need to get a flight to Vietnam.. :-)
