Steemit - the future of social networking? Bigger than Facebook??

Having done a lot of research into steemit, I realised something quite crazy.

It's getting bigger, 237% bigger a day to be exact. It's also starting to be a real talking point on other social network sites such as Facebook. I did notice that the links on Facebook look like spam, I believe Facebook are doing that on purpose because steemit could possibly get bigger than Facebook.

Steemit it offering something that has never been offered before. The ability for you to put your blogs/stories up and be discovered and followed by people from all around the world, also as a massive bonus you can get paid for it. I think this is a massive We all know about bitcoin, but how long did that take to breakthrough??

Hopefully steemit will take off massively. The idea is genius, however I'm still not sure how they manage to pay out, but I will research more to find the answers.
