The Diary Game | September 15th, 2021 | Retreat at Turtle Beach

When in four walled spaces, your ability to create or brainstorm go dull, it is time to then change your environment. Being close to nature increases the thought process and new ideas originate with less hurdles. Vastness of the scene, calmness of the nature and breathe of fresh air highly increases the brain and mind activity which in turn helps you in achieving your goals/targets more efficiently.

Retreat Location

Due to the need of hour as mentioned in the first paragraph, our mentors decided to give our usual work space a break and move to the beach for this Wednesday to conduct weekly team meeting. We went to the Turtle Beach Hut as it is our primary escape place.

Retreat Execution

We left our office at 7am and took Anda Paratha on our way for breakfast. It was very hot today. Sun was spreading itself so bad that I couldn't enjoy by the thought of this retreat so early in the morning. Our coaster reached the hut at 0830am. As soon as I stepped my bare feet on the sand, a cool sensation hit my feet which I couldn't believed. How on earth was that possible? Sun on our heads but the sea shore was giving us splendid cold vibes.

After some time in and near the sea, we went back to the hut for the meeting. Session went very well as everyone was super fresh and active due to the little time we had with sea. Mind was free from absurd thoughts. Ideas were generated and reflected upon. It was a healthy session and everyone engaged very well. After the session, we went back for one last time near the sea to say a close good bye call to it.

Retreat Advice/Gain

People on higher positions who have the authority to manage teams at work place should really conduct retreats at different places to excite and refresh the minds of their employees. It reflects positive attitude on the boss/manager and proves to give healthy benefits in general.
