Unfollowing

I'm probably still keeping and eye on you, just not using the blockchain to store that info. You'll know I'm still there when I upvote :) Though from glancing through the list of people I was following I can see a large percentage are no longer active anyway.

I've decided that "following" people on the Steem blockchain is providing no real value and hence I am unfollowing everyone. There are other methods to follow people I want to read, like "bookmarks" or following them on a specific front end. For example I using vimm.tv (@vimm) and can follow people there independent of storing that info on the blockchain. And you could follow me there too.

The blockchain has too much in it!

"Reputation" is another thing that should be removed from the blockchain and enter the realm of the dApps too. The Steem reputation is so broken why are any bytes and CPU power wasted on it? The individual dApps can track and maintain much more meaningful metrics on their users. I could go on and on but I'll save this rant for another time. Maybe I'll do it live on vimm.tv someday.
