PUT SOME LIGHT ON THAT FACE

Smiling and laughing have some untold benefits. This post intends to reveal those benefits and give tips on how one can engage in a healthy lifestyle occasioned by smiling and laughing always.
Often, we see children laughing as they play around and they are happy. But adults have a lot to think about. Often, you see them in pensive moods. But adults can emulate this habit of children by smiling and laughing often at home, workplaces etc. It is not the customary smiling and laughing mad people are known with. Lolz. Well, as a matter of fact, it is still smiling because the brain cannot actually differentiate between fake and real smile. It just knows that the facial muscles are moving. I think this may be the reason why most mad people live longer than most sane persons. I do not in anyway advocate madness. Just smile on. Put some light to that face!

  • Smiling and laughing release neurotransmitters called endorphins.

This happiness hormone has a lot advantages which I am going to tell you guys. These benefits cannot be overemphasized because we need them in order to live happily and longer. And of course a long happy life is something everyone does not loathe. This hormone is triggered by the movement of the muscles in your face which is interpreted by your brain, which in turn release these chemicals.

  • Endorphins make us feel happier and less Stressed.

This hormone lowers the stress level and spreads happiness like flu in you.
With this we can cope with stress in offices and relate better with colleagues and employers/employees.

  • They are natural painkillers. Just like laughing off a sprained ankle when you bump over a chair.

  • When endorphins are increased, the stress hormone cortisol is reduced.

Cortisol abound when we feel stressed or anxious. And this lowers our moods and makes us feel sad. You can manage this by starting the culture of smiling and laughing often.

  • Laughing expands the lungs, stretches the muscles and stimulates homeostasis

This is refreshing as it replenishes the cells from a lungful of oxygen. And exercises the body.

  • Smiling is an attractive way of drawing people to yourself.

I mean healthy relationships. You create more chances of people approaching you and you benefit from that. And like I said earlier, healthy relationships in workplaces could be occasioned by your wonderful facial smiles.

Am I the only one that feels happy and prefers that cashier at the bank who smiles effortlessly to that one with stiffened muscles on his face?
Or that woman in the market who smiles and brandish her merchandise
Needless talking about that girl with a disarming smile. She finds favour wherever she goes.

The bottom line is that we should just put some light on our faces. You are not the only one battered and butchered by the strife of life. But you can deal with these situations and manage stress as you share happiness around you. These and many more could be achieved through smiling.
