Three Ladies and a Rogue
Think I found a new silver honey hole.
I stopped by a gold/silver buyer that's close to my cycle shop. I had been in there one or twice before but they hadn't any coins at the time. Previously the owner had given me her card and I called first to see what they had. I commented on some of the Indian Silver and Turquoise jewelry they had for sale and she asked my advice on some of the makers. I have experience with jewelry making and my dad was a jeweler for a time.
Long story short. She cut me a decent deal on these pieces and took down my number to call when they had more or to ask advice about Indian jewelry.
Just goes to show that cultivating personal relationships can pay off. You can't get that with an online bullion dealer.
But that is what Steemit is all about!
2 of the ASEs are BU and the 3rd is a toner.
I Paid
$18.57 each for the ASEs
$17.88 for the Ampex Silver Trade Unit
The toning on this coin is nice except the damn thumbprint on the reverse.
This round has some wax or boogers or something on the obverse and its pretty tarnished front and back. But overall still pretty cool.
Thanks for reading and sharing in my blog.
Peace, HM

@harleymechanix I have always emphasized that cultivating relationships with all LCS's that you go into will be Fruitful for you many times over.................
We don't have a LCS here. Closest one is maybe 30 mins away. So I make my rounds at the pawn shops and now this gold/silver buyer. Sometimes its advantageous because I typically know more about what I'm looking at than the pawn broker who has it and that gives me an edge in negotiating.
Nice grabs! And i totally agree. Getting to know people and sharing the smiles is the only way.
I told her, "I'm here to liberate ye of all yer ill gotten doubloons! Now give up the booty or suffer the crushing deep oblivion of Davey Jones Locker!"
True story.
Always good to add some ASEs and those trade units are pretty cool too!
Gotta agree about building a relationship... Its paid off for me pretty well in at my local bullion place, the boss and the few employees all know me and always treat me well when I stop in!
When I first started stacking I was buying anything round and silver. I have recently started being more discerning. I have a goal of ASEs I want to own and I'm steadily working toward it.
Think I'm gonna swap that trade unit out for my current pocket carry piece. Let the jeans wear a little of the grit and dirt off of it.
Yea. Especially as I've been buying more with Crypto I've gotten a little more choosy regarding what I decide to pick up.
I really want to get my hands on one of those hexagon trade units.
Dammit. I had to go google it and now I want one too.
Awesome pick ups and just goes to show you that knowledge really is power along with strong relationships with each other. I always try to push to others how important knowing what others don't even think would ever be important is a big benefit. If I told my friends about mint marks or comics or security they would be like what do you do with that until they had a question about it. Thanks for sharing brother!!
Thanks for the comments and upvotes homie.
My brain is a revolving catalogue of seemingly useless facts. LOL
That trade unit is pretty cool, I've never seen one before.
I've never seen one either. It looks old. Anyone know when the dates ranged on them?
Nice buys dude. It's very good to get to know your local spots. My LCS has put aside weird or unusual silver for me a few times, cause he m ows I'll want it!
Thanks homie. I told her to be on the lookout for any pirate themed pieces for the boy @logan3destroyer
Congrats on that relationship you've built. I'm betting it will pay off big time in the long run.
I still haven't had much luck with the pawn shops near me. They act like I'm crazy asking about silver. I'm going to start calling ahead.
Go to any pawn shops around UT campus or student housing. Students are always broke. I used to pick up awesome guitar gear at the pawn shops around Texas State when I lived in San Marcos.
If you concentrate your search, you will find that which you seek, young grasshopper.
Thanks for the tip!
Love the adds and the toning on the older rounds 👍😎
Thanks man. For the comment and the upvote. Cheers from Texas!
Very very nice! I have a bracelet with coins on it from around the world. I even have the American 10c I think it is?
Keep those coins safe my man!
