Henningsvær, Lofoten.
An old fishing village in northern Norway.
During our trip to Lofoten we visited Heningsvær. The village is an old fishing village established around year 1700. The village is built on several islands and reefs, and are surrounded by oceans on all sides. One of the world's richest fishing grounds lies just south of the fishing village and makes the place one of Lofoten's most typical fishing villages. Just after the war, there could be over ten thousand fishermen here during Lofot fishing.
In the summer months, tourism is also an important industry, and Henningsvær has several places to stay. The old fishermen cabins is popular to rent. In norwegian thy are called "Rorbu". Lofoten is became very popular to visit the resent years and many of the cabins is restored to a high standard.
Below are some pictures from the harbour area.
Have a great day, and best regards from
Harald

Absolutely gorgeous place and I like the colorful reflection of the houses that is typical for Scandinavian type of places. The place is situated between the rocks and on shore that is perfect for fishing and also for tourists an attraction :)
