Steemit Engagement Challenge S10W5 : "Mi Lugar Favorito" / "My favorite place"
Beautiful secrets whispered into your soul by the calm sea.
The ocean has a pull factor for me. The silence, the crashing of the waves, and the gentle breeze make my mood happier and more peaceful. Sitting quietly looking at the expanse of the sea, or walking on the beach sand barefoot is fun and can be relaxing. The beach has always been my favorite place for some reason.
What and how is your favorite place?
Lancok Beach is 4 kilometers from my house, I usually go by motorcycle to get to the location. However, when I was still a child, I used my bicycle more often or ran every Sunday morning with my friends to go to locations. Now, this beach has become one of the popular tourist destinations in my area and a source of the economy for the local community.
Lancok Beach is better known as a culinary tourist destination with typical food "Aceh Crab Noodles" with Acehnese spices. At the location there are a number of huts owned by local residents for a place to relax. There is also a place to sit under a tree while enjoying the beauty of the vast expanse of Lancok Beach. Complete with moored fishing boats.

What makes it so special?
Many things make Lancok Beach special for me, including :
- Lancok Beach is the closest from where I live. This beach is the pride of my area.
- I spent much of my childhood on this beach with my playmates.
- Learn to swim on a Lancok Beach.
- Learn to dive for shells in a traditional way.
However, the most memorable thing for me was the moments with my father. The story goes like this, when I was 6 years old, my legs were weak (limping) because of an illness. You have treated me to several of the best doctors, but there has been no progress. Until my father turned to a traditional healer to treat my feet. One of the treatment techniques, every morning, my feet and whole body smeared with dew. After that, we headed to Lancok Beach to bathe me in sea water for about 15 minutes, then my feet were soaked in sand for some time. This activity took place every day for 2 months until I fully recovered. This moment makes Lancok Beach special for me.

I visit Lancok Beach more often when there are family events or hanging out with work friends. In fact, in the middle of 2022, We Steemian Indonesia have held an event at Lancok Beach with the Atomy Community as well as compensation for the underprivileged. Now, I never swim again at that beach. After the tsunami, the sea water became a bit cloudy. Now my main goal is to go to Lancok Beach just to enjoy the beach atmosphere while enjoying various seafood dishes and fresh coconut water. The various types of dishes provided at Lancok Beach are very affordable. The majority of the sellers are local residents. Especially on Sundays to enter the beach area, visitors must pay a ticket of 5000 IDR or 1.86 STEEM for beach maintenance and security costs. For those who want to visit, Lancok beach is only open during the day. Evenings are closed.
Briefly tell us a memory or anecdote of that place.
At Lancok Beach, I was a child who loved the sea. When I was sick, my father took me to the beach every day, bathed me in the sea water and soaked my feet in the sand. After two months, I recovered and Lancok Beach became a special place for me. Now, I visit her to enjoy delicious food while experiencing healing miracles and beuatiful memories.

La playa es un lugar muy muy especial para las personas. Tiene razón, caminar por la arena es algo muy relajante. También admirar la inmensidad del mar y escuchar las olas.
Me conmovió su historia cuando era un niño. Que bueno que pudo recuperarse por completo. Me alegro que su padre lo haya ayudado bastante. Ellos hacen todo por el bienestar de su familia.
