SEC-S15W2 : My School Life

in Steem For Bangladesh2 years ago (edited)

The happiest times are the times at school! We often say this expression when we, school alumni, hold reunions while reminiscing about the exciting times of friendship, the beautiful times of falling in love, and the fun school environment. I'm sure if a time machine was created, many of us would want to go back there to our first love he he.

But it should be appreciated that the Bangladesh Steem Community has again opened a space to remember for all of us to reminisce and share some interesting things about our school life in the past. Therefore, I shout out to call @heriadi @radjasalman and @sailawana to join us in the Contest : SEC-S15W2: My School Life. I'm sure there's something interesting about reading a teacher's version of writing when you're a school student.

My preferences for school subjects change frequently. Since 1st grade I have liked basic mathematics which connects numbers and I also like heroic history lessons. Then, in middle school, I started to like art lessons. Then, in high school, I had the same percentage of interest in all subjects. Meanwhile, physics received more attention from me, because I only studied and mastered the subject matter when I was still in high school. Until now, I am still interested in various impressive fields of science.

The thing that makes me happiest is the fact that I can still keep in touch and communicate well with several of my teachers and friends from school. Mr. Sayuti as a physics teacher and Mr. Yamani as an English teacher are often my discussion partners at the moment. Meanwhile, with my school friends, we formed a charity group to help orphans and the elderly in the North Aceh and Lhokseumawe areas. Funds for this charity activity come from joint funds from high school friends.

School farewell events always leave mixed feelings for us students, this farewell is not only with teachers or friends but also with the pleasant school atmosphere. Apart from that, it indicates that our teenage years have ended and we have entered adulthood. The challenges ahead are before us, and we are lost in each other's feelings while shaking hands and hugging, we cry accompanied by the music of "this intimacy" sung by the legendary Indonesian singer Iwan Fals.

Two days after the farewell event ended, several friends and I held a farewell event by going on holiday to one of the tourist destinations in North Sumatra, namely Bukit Lawang. There we spent a few days together before going home and writing a new story by continuing our education at college.

Sad day in school life

This political event occurred in 1999 in Aceh. The emergence of a community resistance movement with the Indonesian government's military operations policy made the atmosphere less conducive. The world of education was affected by the burning of several schools by unknown parties. The school was forced to close temporarily. This tense situation leaves deep sadness before the final exam. We didn't study at school for several weeks, we took the final exams without proper preparation. Although in the end the school took a policy of graduating all its students. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy our final years at school. School holidays for us at that time were hell, because our heaven was at school and mingling with the world there. We are aware that our school days will soon end, so these dark political times leave us with deep sadness as students and the world of education.

School life was so much fun for us that if we were asked to go back in time we would choose school life. Your choice of subject would change with the class. Friends and favorite teachers play a big part in school life. It worked so well that friends formed a charity fund together. It is indeed a sad day in the field of education that educational institutions are burnt down.

The school burning was a dark period of the political situation that occurred, everything was out of control..

Places of worship, hospitals and schools should remain protected in any situation, including ongoing war... it is a concern that this rule is being violated.

Greetings and success to brother @abdul-rakib

Masa-masa sekolah memang penuh cerita seru, lucu dan indah ketika di ingat dan di kenang. Pengalaman hidup yang diperoleh saat di masa sekolah sangatlah positif.

Terimakasih atas undangan kontesnya brother @harferri.

I am deeply moved by your account of the challenging political events that unfolded in Aceh in 1999. The impact on education, with schools being burned and forced closures, paints a stark picture of the difficult times you and your peers faced. It's disheartening to hear that your final years at school were disrupted, robbing you of the joy and camaraderie that school life usually brings.

The fact that you had to take final exams without proper preparation reflects the gravity of the situation. Despite the hardships, your resilience and determination shine through. I hope that, in time, the wounds from those challenging days have healed, and you've found strength in the memories of your school years.
