Bitcoin Mentioned in U.S. Supreme Court Ruling

Source: CoinDesk

79-year-old Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer acknowledged cryptocurrency in a dissenting opinion written for the Wisconson Central Ltd. vs. United States ruling, issued today. In the dissent, Breyer argues that the interpretation of “money” as held by the majority does not align with current perspectives and specifically states that “perhaps one day employees will be paid in bitcoin or some other type of cryptocurrency." When a near-octogenarian casually throws cryptocurrency into a federal court ruling, is there any doubt left that it has become part of the mainstream conversation?

The VGO trading dapp has launched on the WAX blockchain. VGO is integrated with OPSkins and allows users to collect, trade, and sell digital items generated by smart contracts. At this point we’d like to note that the “digital items” are image files, not skins or actual game assets, which makes the website… a bit misleading. Satoshi Revealed to be Quantum-Computed Time Lord Unicorn

Source: Twitter

One thing about maintaining an air of mystery: it leads to wild speculation. Satoshi Nakamoto became (more so than normal) the subject of such today, after a not-entirely-random looking generated hash code began circulating Twitter and fueling rumors of time-traveling quantum mechanics. In short: The “21e8” appearing in the hash is a sequence associated with “E8,” the simplified theory of everything, and the two extra trailing zeroes are associated with the Bitcoin genesis block. It’s a fun bit of trivia; however, what we’re looking at here is basically the mathematical equivalent of a Rorschach inkblot.
