Got my Amazon order today - read on

Started my day today by driving dad to his blood draw which was over an hour wait! We were both just happy to get out there when he finally got done, we arrived there before 8 am. It was a chilly morning and it looked like it was about to rain but did not, just a little drizzle for few minutes when we bought a much appreciated chicken and pork bun on a Chinese bakery in the same spot.

We stopped by at a Filipino market for tinapa which is smoked fish to go with the mung beans which is the dish for today and ended doing the groceries instead as we're out of veggies. We're there anyway so might as well get the other stuff needed. Lucky day as some items are put on sale such as the souring agent we're using for sinigang dish which is a soured dish, the tamarind mix that comes in packet is on sale for 3/.99 while the Del Monte canned fruits for fruit salad is only for $1.99 a can. Guess what? I did get four.

Arriving home, I was ready to get some sleep after stacking up the items but I was delighted to see that the bilingual book Filipino/English I ordered last Friday was here now.

Unboxing YouTube video

I've been expecting it yesterday, Sunday being an Amazon Prime member. But happy to have it today, doesn't matter it was a day late since I was planning to do an unboxing video anyway which I prefer doing during days.

*Love the illustration done in this book and just had to purchase it to read the whole story. The book is written in English and translated to Tagalog/Filipino. You can get your copy from Amazon as well - Pan De Sal Saves the Day

Going to the garden update. We were delighted and happy to finally have ripe jujube fruits! These are just smaller compared to my uncle's jujube tree fruits growing in his yard but his is planted on the ground while ours is in a big pot. So that's probably why. Still, these fruits are crunchy and sweet! And just makes us happy to finally have its fruits.

And that's where this ulog post ends, two fruity photos. 😉 Until next time fellow Steemians.
