Pistol Squats aka Single Leg Squats is a great way to challenge your core, balance and lower body conditioning. This impressive exercise despite using only your body weight can take quite a lot of training to master.
I've prepared 3 videos for you to watch.. Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Pistol Squat Progressions.

Beginner - Assisted Pistol Squat

Intermediate - Target Pistol Squat

Advanced - Bodyweight & Weighted Pistol Squat

BTW, what dumbbell rack do you have? I have a set of the rogue hex dumbbells, but apparently their own rack doesn't actually fit their hex dumbbells that well......

@trogdor the DB rack is Marcy APEX 3 Tier Dumbbell Rack the model is DBR86 I have 2 setup side by side

Bodyweight & Weighted Pistol Squat.good post.

Pistol squats are truly essential for a killer leg-routine doing calisthenics, I actually transitioned myself a year back from pure bodybuilding to more calisthenics and acro types of exercise. Loving it so far, so great to see another fellow Steemian practicing the art ;)

Hi @williamwest Sounds like were travelling the same direction. I've been focused on strength training for many years, although there has always been body weight exercises in the mix. I'm excited to find out what my body is truly capable of with only calisthenic training. Anyways, I'll be checking you out for sure, sounds like were on the same wavelength my friend :)
