My experience in the village
I was born in the city and had a normal comfortable life where everything was available near to us. In my twenties I met a friend living in a village and we became very close friends. I started visiting her frequently and spending some days there. I love the place and the people. Green, peaceful and the people were more friendlier than the people in the cities. I cant deny that it is the best place to be in, but life was very tough there. In some places they had no water or electricity I remember when she had to barrow a donkey from her neighbor to go to a nearby well and bring fresh water.
In the autumn we could harvest mushrooms, spinach and green beans. It was really fun cooking fresh vegetables and having dinner together. We went many times to collect wood and make fire. She was always making fun of me, because I wasn't that good in making fire. Well! I didn't had experience like them :)
Today I wanted to share with my experience in visiting an other village on the sea side. The place is called el Haouaria and it is a coastal town in Nabeul - Tunisia. I visited it recently with my friends and spent the day there. It is a peaceful place and many people prefer to spend their summer holidays in it. The rent started getting higher every year and the demand increasing.
We had fish and traditional Tunisian food. Spend nice time walking through the farms watching the beautiful nature and animals. The only thing that made me sad was to see a dog that had a rope tied around her neck and her puppies were sitting far from her. I tried to find the owner, but couldn't do much. At the end I was just a traveler.
The sea side was very nice, no big waves and no sand. Only stones and many sea snails. I am sharing with you the photos. I hope you like it and I wish to visit again next year :)

Thank you. Yes life in the village can be always special. I am glad that you like it :)
I like this travel blog - I was asking myself, where's Tunisia - I thought - North Africa - but had to double check.
Last year I was very interested in documentaries of history and learned about ancient Carthage - and it looks like modern Tunisia is where Carthage once was. So it makes a lot more sense now than it did before!
hhh yes thats true. I visited the ruins of Carthage some days ago and will post the photos maybe this week. Yes we have alot of history in every city. Of Carthage, Romans, the ottomans etc. It is just amazing and even we people are so mixed that you dont know from which country who came :)
