Persija Jakarta defender, Otavio Dutra, welcomed the news of the issuance of a crowd permit to hold the 2021 Menpora Cup tournament.
The player who has been grazing in Indonesia for 10 years is relieved that his wait since last year has paid off. He also can't wait to help the Kemayoran Tigers achieve the best results in the pre-season tournament.
Moreover, the former Persebaya Surabaya player has a special request for all supporters, especially Persija supporters. Dutra prohibits all supporters from approaching the stadium during the tournament. He also invited supporters to support his favorite team by watching from their respective homes.
This is for the sake of the smooth running of the tournament and the trust of the police so that the Indonesian soccer competition is no longer suspended.
"Most importantly, they can watch football again. Even though it's on TV, they can be happy again," said the Brazilian naturalized player.
"I ask and beg all supporters not to come to the stadium, just watch TV at home. because later all the matches will be live and free for the community, ”concluded the 37-year-old defender.
Based on the results of the presentation of the coordination meeting between PSSI and PT LIB with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, last Wednesday (10/2/2021), the pre-season tournament is planned to be held on March 20-April 25, 2021 or for 37 days. The pre-season competition will reportedly be called the Menpora League 2021 and will be filled by 20 clubs divided into four groups with different hosts.
The pre-season venues will be held in four cities, namely Solo, Bandung, Sleman and Malang in the first option. In the second option, Sleman City was replaced by Palembang. In the list of 20 contestants for the tournament, 18 of whom are League 1 clubs. Two other clubs are League 2 contestants represented by Sriwijaya FC and PSMS Medan.
