Surplus of electricity produced by isolated power plants in the Far East can be used for mining bitcoins, believes the presidential envoy in the region, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev.

"The situation with power supply in the Far East is quite diverse, we have isolated power systems and there are centers where electricity is produced more than necessary. And of course, it is quite possible to work with excess electricity. These projects are being considered, what decision will be made - now I will not be ahead of time, but we are working, "Trutnev said in an interview with" Rossiyskaya 24 ".

The vice-premier noted that the crypto-currencies have recently become more expensive and this fact should be used.
