ACHIEVEMENT 3| CONTENT ETIQUETTE | by @hamzaali01
Hello there, everyone.
Now that I've accomplished the first two achievement tasks, it's time to go on to the third.
So, let's get started.
Plagiarism is criminal behavior in which you deliberately copy someone else's work or replicate someone else's work without giving them credit. You make use of someone else's content and offer it as your own, which is unethical.
According to research, there are four distinct types of plagiarism.
a) DIRECT PLAGIARISM: This occurs when you plagiarise someone's work without giving them credit.
b) SELF PLAGIARISM: This is when you resubmit or republish your own previously published work.
c) ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM: When the sources of content used in an article or other content are not properly cited. When you inadvertently and accidentally use a line that has already been used by someone else.
d) MOSAIC PLAGIARISM: When you replicate someone's scheme but replace the words with comparable terms or phrases while keeping the same format as the original.
If you're copying someone else's work, always include citations. Give citations or links to sentences that were stolen from someone else.
So that's all there is to it in terms of courtesy and truthfulness. Keep in mind you don't take someone else's hard work and pass it off as your own.
Thank you for taking the time to read my article. I hope you've grasped the Steemit community's etiquette.
Make every effort to follow them.
THANK YOU
regards,
