THE DIARY GAME: 20/08/2020- FETCHING WATER FOR HOUSEHOLD USE
It was hectic today walking about 500m to fetch water for household use
I and my wife carrying water at the borehole
- helping my wife to carry water at the borehole
Nsuta is a town in sekyere central district at ashanti region in ghana. Nsuta is the capital of town of sekyere central district. The town does not have pipe born water and depend on near by town called ashanti mampong for pipe born water. The flow of water from the pipe at times stop for about weeks or months without flowing, leaving people to walk far away in search of water. People in this town always struggle for water. During Harmattan the water in the borehole dry up. The borehole is near to a river a stream water. In the town itself you have dig about 60- 100m before before you can get water. Imaging drawing water from 100m borehole. Even with that it will during the harmattan.
- we met some people also fetching the water
The pipe water from ashanti mampong that supply water to nsuta has stop about two weeks now. We have run out of water in our house . the morning at 7:00aam, my wife and i walk about 400m to a near by borehole to fetch water for the house hold. Infact it was hectic walking 400m to fetch water to fill the container bellow. After to and fro the container was final filled
As we know the importance of water. Living things can not survive without water. Water is use for indoors and outdoors household purposes. all the things we do at home: drinking, preparing food, bathing, washing clothes and brushing our teeth.
The borehole bellow supply water to about 5000 people in the community
This was how i played my diary game today. Thanks to the people in steemit community.
We go to the well to the borehole to fetch water when the tap stops flowing as well. It's always such a long walk but always worth it to get water for the house.
I always prefer using heavy buckets. They reduce the number of going back and forth. Are those little kids fetching water as well? The must be brave.

This is really a great help you offered for your wife. Only few husbands engage helping their wives in such activities. You did so well, do continue this great work.
Thanks for your complement
