The ancient and mythological city of Uttar Pradesh is more famous as Allahabad Prayag, which is one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the country. This city is famous for its confluence site, where the holy river Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet. This city is also India's second oldest city, which is said to have originated from the Vedic period. Looking deep into history, it is known that Allahabad's present name Allahabad was kept in the year 1583 by Mughal emperor Akbar, whose literal meaning is (Urdu) is 'Allah ka Bagh'.

As it has been said that it is a historic city, so many evidence related to the past can be seen in the present. In terms of historical tourism you can enjoy the tour of Allahabad Fort. Historians believe that this fort was built by the great emperor Ashoka, but later Mughal emperor Akbar captured this fort and repaired it (1583). This huge fort is situated near the Triveni Sangam site, which is counted among the fortresses of Akbar. For security, Akbar had constructed three watch towers which used to monitor the fort complex. Important monuments and buildings are present inside the fort. You can see a Janana Mahal, Saraswati Kuopu built for women and Ashoka pillar in the 3rd century BC.

In the past linked sites, you can plan a trip to Khusro Bagh. This garden with beautiful gardens is home to three tombs which were constructed in Mughal style. The three tombs of the Mughal emperor are Jahangir's eldest son Khusru Mirza and his first wife Shah Begum and daughter Nitin Begum. The name of this garden is named after Khusru Mirza, who revolted against his father and who was buried with the family in these three tombs after death. The beauty of these tombs is worth seeing; carving on the stone with Mughal architecture affects the tourists.

This building was constructed by Indian leader Motilal Nehru as the residence of the Nehru family during the 1930s. This building is also known as Swaraj Bhawan which was donated to the Indian National Congress. In 1970, Indira Gandhi handed over this building to the Indian government. Today, this building is known as an important museum, which displays the life and times of the Nehru family. There is also a Jawahar Nakshatra Bhawan, which is worth seeing during its visit.

Built in an area of ​​approximately 1250 square meters, this large church is counted among the most valuable buildings of colonial India. The church complex also includes a monument dedicated to Queen Victoria and served as a lantern tower (the structure formed on top of the church).
