Symbol of Istanbul / Galata Tower

Hi again:)

I wanna share with you some photos of Galara Tower in istanbul if you could see :) I said that because it is not seen as clearly as due to urbanization...

Galata Tower was built in 528.It is possible that you can see Bosphorus and Golden Horn panoramicly from the hill.

Best thing that I know about it that ; in the first half of the 17th century IV. , Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi flew to Üsküdar from Galata Tower in 1638 by wearing eagle wings. First flying Turk... succesfully of course:)

From 1717 the tower was used as a fire watching tower.

Last pic isn’t taken by me as you guess:) I took it from “İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi “ web site to show you its old view...

    İstanbul'un nazar boncuğu gibi gelir bana hep . Namı diğer kız kulesinin aşığı ... Galata ve kız kulesi ! Hiç kavusamayacak iki aşık ...

    Kesinlikle katılıyorum istanbul’un nazar boncuğu..Aşıkları kavuşturmayı deneyen cesur insanlar oldu Hazerfan Ahmet gibi..ama çok zaman geçti...Galata şimdi İstanbulu sessizce seyrediyor bence oldukça şaşkın bir şekilde..@thegossip
