"Maha Shivratri" - Devotion for Shiva + Indian Festival
Hello Everyone !
I've been bit busy these days.. well today I'm going to tell you guys about our indian festival Mahashivratri. On this day people take the holy water of Ganga from Haridwar and put it on Shivling. It's every indians belief that Gangajal will remove all the obstacles in our life. On this 21st july we celebrated this festival. Every hindu go to the temple this day .. In my city there is very big temple of Lord Shiva. As you can see in my pictures.

And this temple was made because in the previous time when people were working they found this original silver shiva statue head in the ground.. it is shown in my picture..

Lots of people come here for there devotion from many villages
Look at the statue art on the walls of the temple.
And on this day a fair was setup to attract more people here lots of people come here and lots of swings, and shops on sales and many artistic stuff were sold in this fair. And people had the kabaddi and kushti competition and the winners were rewarded with money prize..

What happens in a kabaddi and kushti competition and is it a big deal for the person or people who win? Is the competition fierce?
Actually kushti is just like wrestling.. and kabaddi is another game what we can play in a group two teams are there seven members in each and make a square arena of two halves and then one of member go into the other teams half and tag them with hand and return back to own half and after tagging them the other team will stop him to go back to his arena. When I was a kid I used to play that game.. haha but not now.. these games are not violent as wrestling we watch on wwe because there are rules how to play them...
