Evolution of a Beautiful Song - "Sound Asleep"

This is a very interesting story of how this song was created, and it all started with an email. You see Fly Guy Felix sends me this email and he basically says " Hey man can you help me with the guitar tracks for this new song I've been working on?

So I reply and say "Send me the whole track and I will try and put something together for you." And the next thing you know I get this amazing piano, bass, and drums instrumental from my friend and it sounded terrific.

So I reply back and say " Wow now this is something I can work with, so give me a couple of days to experiment with some ideas."

It was the weekend so I played around with the track the next day, and came up with a cool solo and a small idea that I later changed, but it was about 30% of what I wanted to accomplish.

I sent the new ideas off to Felix and later that day he emails me back and says " Wow that blew me away, I love the solo and can't wait to see what the finished ideas sound like."

The next day I emailed him and said "I am going to need another week to see what I can come up with because I want to make a few changes" and Felix said no worries man.

So a week later I send him the whole track I had worked out, and all the individual guitar parts by themselves so Felix could make his own mix.

About a day later I get another email that went something like this " Wow I just listened to the track at my piano lesson and you blew me away once again."

So later that night Felix sends me the new remix he made on soundcloud and it sounded totally different then my version. Here is my version of "Sound Asleep" by Fly Guy Felix. He had originally named the song "Beauty Of My Pain" which might be a better title for my version, but I can see why Felix changed the title to "Sound Asleep" after he made his final remix.

I love the soundcloud version by Felix, and for a 16 year old musician, he really comes up with cool music. This turned out to be a really fun project and I am glad I get to share it with everybody on steemit. Hope you all enjoy the music as much as we had fun making it.
