Application to Join #thealliance

Ever since the day when I made my first account and forgot to activate it (proof as follows), I've been looking for meaning in my STEEM life .. or 'stife' as one may call it for short. I just recalled I used that email address for something. Sure took a while.

Back to the stife and the purpose of this post: to create an application for #thealliance.

I heard about #thealliance from @enginewitty at some point in time and it sunk in. I must have forgotten about it until I started seeing those #thealliance banners everywhere. Then a short while ago I was talking to a friend and it came up. He agreed it'd be a good project for me to get involved in. Mental support and all that like. He also said a bunch of other things I probably shouldn't repeat in a post. But that one was the more important.

So now that I've covered how this came about, let's get to the who. Most of you know me. I'm the manager of this account here and a STEEM witness. I've been on this platform for some time, learned a lot about it, met a lot of good people who speak a lot of different languages. I mostly work on designing beneficial bots and supporting various communities. I'm mainly prominent in the #veterans and #steemsilvergold groups (being a vet and a coin enthusiast) but I also support regional efforts in Venezuela and Ghana. I'm pretty sure that I'm known around as "that guy who upvotes DMed posts without flagging them or being a dick". That'd explain why I get so many DMs.

Why do I want to join? Well, I take the promotion of quality content pretty seriously. How seriously you ask? Well, you can ask @inquiringtimes who already told me that "I think you're tripping about this shit".

As you can see, there's plenty of room for non-automated improvement and enough VP to go around. Finding content is easy but finding great content is hard. Sharing it even harder. It would be easier to bust a hole in a brick wall with a tomato.

I'm also a pretty good writer if I say so myself. I don't have much time to write these days but you can lately spot my streaks of utter brilliance in some @steemcleaners articles. I also know my way around a Haiku.
