May - Food Packing and Food Distribution

Once again, setting side time and waking up on a resting weekend, volunteers came together, flexed their muscles and sweat on their brow just to pack necessary monthly ration for under privileged families.

This round we once again had two emphasis packing, one for the Chinese community who are usually seniors and different language families including aboriginal families, Tamil, and even some refugee families too.

Our out reach centers truly needed a lot of help and we are blessed with the help of many donations we are able to ration just enough for almost 150 families.

We started just a handful of 10 volunteers preparing plastic bags for distribution packs.

Then more volunteers came in further to help repacking the essential perishable food like potato and onions just enough for the families and centers.

Even though there were much to do, each leader has their designated tasks to execute.

Even aborogonal outreach volunteer initiatives came over to help speed up the packing process, and because of that, we could finish our tasks by 2 hours.

By the time other outreach pastors and volunteer heads from afar arrive, they are not only able to come quickly pick up the food packages, they even have enough time to check for 2nd hand clothes to bring back to their community.

This month we were blessed with a little more extra such as biscuits and sugar, the rehab center Lifezone also able to come to receive their monthly ration with a little extra surprise.
