The diary game: Life Events
Life events are pivotal in outlining and developing our personal stories. Some are pleasant while other events are not easy, but all of them are significant for an individual’s growth and outlook. Birthdays and graduations, marriages, and the birth of a child are rather lovely milestones, which are full of joy and emotion. Conversely, there are also events that are not so pleasurable like bereavement, sickness, or conquering depression after changing jobs.
Every event, good or bad comes with a lesson to learn and a room for growth. They contain rich experiences that advance one’s appreciation; tolerance and comprehension of host of factors. Enjoyable pictures give a sense of completeness, while hard images build strength and firm resolve, which determine who we turn out to be afterwards.
In different societies, life changing events, or milestones, are celebrated with rituals or ceremonies to signify their significance. Lasting through the difficulties of these events, whether among family or in solitude, these practices seek to help us accept the changes and adjustments that come with life events. They are the snapshots of our life experiences for life is filled with stories and had its turns of high and low valleys of feelings and emotions.
