Heirloom Tomatoes - The 'Money Maker' Variety

This heirloom variety is a prolific yielder. It typically is said to produce red, globe-shaped tomatoes weighing 4-8oz. This is our first year growing this variety, but I can say with certainty that it will return next year! It was one of the first to blossom, set, and ripen - an 85 day variety that performed better than some of our 70 day varieties. Earned a staple spot next year.
Where's It From?
It is a tomato variety that originated in Bristol, England.
Where Will It Grow?
It grows well in various climates and environmental conditions. I have planted this variety in full sun (8 hr+ direct) and also in partial shade (6 hr direct light) and they both are producing quite well. It is a vigorous indeterminate plant (vining), is drought tolerant, tolerates cool and warm temperature fluctuations - an all around easy variety to care for.

Every time I see one of these tomato posts, I crave a tomato sandwich! Argh.
I've been picking tomatoes all week! I gifted a few 'previews' to our most loyal customers and was told "they tasted like a slice of Heaven". Our tomato reservation list has almost 1:1 with the number of buyers to plants we have. Some customers are reserving bushel baskets at a time (53 lbs of tomatoes!). We have a local pizza place looking to use our product for a seasonal sauce. Local chefs taking note and we will be soon showing our product to a few select decision makers that might have our tomatoes incorporated into a high-class cuisine. It's all about the taste and something well cared for usually tastes the best!
That photo in the bottom of the post is of one of our monster 9 foot Money Maker tomato plants. Look closely to see where a custom cage had to be fixed to extend the 52" cage, another 48" 😆💰. We have to add additional 2 ft of caging to our already 9 ft high trellis system. Ever seen a 20ft tomato plant? Stay tuned, I'll show you how I roll!
