Above is a map of the US State of North Carolina. There are protests happening in Charlotte now, feel free to visit any major news site for details. Republican Robert Pittenger, a congressman from North Carolina's 9th district, had this to say:

The 9th district contains the suburbs that surround Charlotte, but not the city itself. Urban Charlotte is contained in the strangely shaped 12th district, which snakes its way between the 5th and 8th districts so that it can include other major urban population centers in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. The 12th district is represented by Democrat Alma Adams:

Nothing to see here folks. . . move along, move along.

Yup, I saw that video on twitter and tracked down the BBC source and added my "between the lines" commentary on how gerrymandering can cause such a disconnect between elected representatives and the people they represent. All kosher, right?

They are not protests. They are riots.
They have been incited by out of state rabble rousers.
Seventy percent of the rioters arrested are NOT locals. They were imported from out of State.

Much Like what happened in Ferguson Mo.

Yes there is a protest, and yes are there people who crashed the protest to turn it into a riot. The truth is always somewhere in the middle. Here's a picture from CNN

It's about time people started to stand up to the government's, its happening here in the UK too
