Meow-Meow - Feline Rhythm Machine - An experiment using processing.js
A few years ago I did a programming course, creating multimedia apps using processing.js, an audio-visual programming environment. As part of my coursework I created Meow-Meow, a drum machine with a feline twist!
The app was set-up with rows of 16-steps that can be turned on or off. The images of the cats on the top of the app are pitch and filter controls, the cat sounds manipulated using x-y co-ordinates. It was fun to make, and one day, time permitting I may build upon this and develop it further...

No kittens were harmed in the making of this video...
In 1888, more than 300,000 mummified cats were found an Egyptian cemetery. They were stripped of their wrappings and carted off to be used by farmers in England and the U.S. for fertilizer.
Please, tell me more!
Kittens who are taken along on short, trouble-free car trips to town tend to make good passengers when they get older. They get used to the sounds and motions of traveling and make less connection between the car and the visits to the vet.
Well that's just common sense really. It's not really a cat fact. You could say the same thing about dogs, pigs or dolphins.
Cats respond most readily to names that end in an \ee\" sound."""
Like doggie?
Haha, Ziggy (my dog) went nuts when I played this - she hates cats :-) Very cool experiment!
