Company bitcoin mining Bitmain acquires data analysis startup

The Bitmain, the operator of one of the largest mining pools of Bitcoin network, acquired a data analysis startup bitcoin by an as yet undisclosed amount.

With the acquisition of Blocktrail, as announced today, Bitmain seek to strengthen the services it offers in BTC.com, an exploration blocks and analytics service that was launched in September last year. The acquisition is the latest in what proved to be a year of consolidation for the industry, which has looked at the activity on the exchanges sector.

This year, so far the biggest acquisition in the industry was the manufacturer of bitcoin mining chips "Avalon" while CoinDesk was acquired by investment firm Bitcoins called "Digital Currency Group".

With the news, three employees in Blocktrail of full-time will join Bitmain team, including its co-founder Boaz Bechar, who expressed his optimism that the BTC.com would help your team to reach more users.

Bechar said:

"We have seen several consolidations underway last year, and for us, it was really a perfect match to find a great player who has a use for all the technology we build."

Bechar also said that its European staff increase "significantly."

"I think the BTC.com will be strong. We'll have more and more resources team, "said Bechar.
