LoL that poor cat, wasn't quite sure what to make of that first landing XD It was pretty impressive being able to go in and come out of that patio :) Were you intending to plough into the snow on the second one? Probably a bit easier landing than trying to get back into the patio XD
Beautiful footage, hope it was worth braving the elements for :D (I would have cowarded out and stayed inside where it was warm XD)
The second flight was with a plane, so no way to land it in the patio! Anyway, I was trying to land on these blue yoga mats, but I came in too slowly so it stalled and it tipped over the wing in the snow. :-)
I saw a picture of a drone in the first sequence, if there was a picture of a plane at the beginning of the second one I must have missed it. LoL oops, was it a soft landing at least? It looked kind of powdery but I don't have much experience with snow :)
Yes, there is a picture of the actual plane at the beginning of the second flight. The snow crash-landing didn't couse any damage, it just doesn't look nice in the video.
I probably just looked away and missed it. The second landing may not have been as neat as the first one but it was an amusing landing, made me chuckle and hope that the drone was okay :)
You can see this is not the US because otherwise a fat guy with a rifle would shoot it down at 5:10 saying "GET OUT OF MY PROPERTY"
There rules and limitations for drones here are absolutely ridiculous and I'd rather deal with a fat guy with a rifle than with imbecile bureaucrats...

BTW, the low fly by at 5:10 was over my own house and property! :-)
lol thats not true, in USA we can flyour drones as much as we want, who is gonna stop us? the drone polic? wil the FAA have their own drones flying around policing? ololl shooting down other drones lolol
Have you yet considering uploading your videos via Dtube? I feel it would have a positive impact on your Steemit account as well as your Dtube :) You can always post it on both, YT and DT :)
On another hand, BEAUTIFUL drone captures!!! This is amazing to watch. I'm curious what type of drone you are operating.

Thanks Steven! I tried Dtube already but didn't see much advantages so far. They take another 25% of the revenue but to me it doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether I embed my youtube videos in my Steemit post or upload them on Dtube.
Understandable! :) Just figured you could use Dtube as well, for extra upvotes as well as views.

The drones I've been flying in this video are self-made models based on the following airframes:
Flight 1: GEPRC GEP LX Leopard LX5
Flight 2: Zeta Wing Z-84
Impressive scenery and some pretty high altitude flying!
Just for the record - I was never higher than 150m above ground! :-)

It's just so cool. You can fly anywhere or scout the mountain peaks. It's been almost 15 mins I still play the video in the background. Almost forgot what I wanted to say.

I L:OE this drone video and the snow and your ability to just make videos of the SKY and I WANT a drone like yours now i have one but it cant do what yours can do and give video like this! i love this idea, ULTIMATE video freedom!
Look at this i upvoted all your posts! @elgeko showed me your art and I really want to commission your apprentices, I want to see what i can afford, i want to get someone like you to make Artwork dedicated to the steem and EOS logo, just integrate those two logos into your art somehow and i will try to pay and i know I cannot afford it yet but maybe I can/ I love this idea! i want to see how much money it would cost to commission some paintings like yours but which involve the EOS and Steem logos!

I can see your talents becoming vital to the creation of VIDEO ARt, and we WILL make money off the video art, i the past video art was only profitable if you had a patronage or commercial money for video commercials bUT Now when u make something that just looks cool peope will upvote it so the artists can make MORE and if u incolvestem and EOS logos into your artwork I can see them becoming very powerful!
