Progress stages of my painting "Awaiting the Rebirth"
A long journey through the subconscious
When I use the Rorschach / Décalcomanie technique I never really know what the result is going to be. The process often ends in a long lasting journey, quite like with this painting. I got stuck here at the 3th stage and it took me another four years to finally see what this painting is all about.
The problem with Décalcomanie is that the textures can get quite intense and beautiful and that I simply don't want to destroy them by painting over it. When I get so absorbed by the resulting textures all I can do is to leave it for a while and wait.

And she will live a sad life as only giant lady in a gnome world!
