Visiting Italy, we went to the north where the mountains are covered with green trees, shrubs and aromatic herbs, create a wonderful background, and once very often visited city, and now slightly dormant, which lies on a gentle stroma. On the horizon from east to west, the nearby mountains stretch; to the south, almost a uniform elevation of the lower hills.
The town of San Giovanni Rotondo lies in a mountain chain on the south side of Gargano about 500 m above sea level. at the foot of the Castellano mountain

That is so beautiful! I have never had the opportunity to travel much in Italy. It is something of a regret for me.

The south of Italy is fantastic (I've always lived in the North of Italy) and Puglia is wonderful!
Three years ago, in November, I spent two weeks on the Gargano: the climate was so mild, that we had several times bathing in the sea!
