SuperShed Workshop Build - Floor Framing
Day 4 of the SuperShed project! This update starts off a mess -- literally! The lumber company delivered the wood for the project but messed it up pretty bad. Be sure to watch the video to see what happened.
The 2" x 6" boards that make up the beams were nailed together using 3" galvanized nails, then the floor was framed from treated 2" x 6" lumber set on 16" centers. To make the floor easier to build and maneuver, I chose to build two 16' x 12' sections, then join them together in the middle. This gives a total floor footprint of 24' wide and 16' deep.
After the floor was framed, I used the floor sheeting to square the frame. The flooring is 3/4" OSB tongue and groove subfloor.
I hope you enjoy this video, be sure to check out the prior videos on this project--linked below. Thanks!
