Our Amazing Night Sky

It was 21st October 2017. On that night, Orionid meteor shower was happening and I decided to drive far from the city and try to capture some meteors. Weather on that day was half cloudy and I hoped that the place I want to go has a clear sky.
I drove about 75 kilometers away from my home and found a field that was perfect to set up my equipment.

Meteor shower itself was pretty awesome. In every 5 minutes there were several meteors and 3 of them I saw that night were absolutely huge fireballs. After an hour of long exposure photographing I didn't get not one good photo of a meteor. Yes, I did get some small meteor pieces on my photos but I have already deleted them, nothing cool to see. Always a great meteor happened in the direction my camera was not pointed to.

After a long frustrating time, I thought that fuck this shit..., clouds were also coming over my location. I decided to take a couple of shots of the sky before I leave. The outcome was pretty amazing, you can see stars between the clouds and cloud formation itself looks great. This light pollution comes from the city 75 kilometers away, that's crazy. Usually, light pollution is every photographer's bad dream when capturing a night sky but in this case, it worked nicely and painted the clouds the way it looks beautiful.

NOTE: on 21-23 April, Lyrid meteor shower is happening, the peak is on the 22 April. If you are interested then get yourself to the dark location and keep your eyes up.
