Arctic From The Skies
I decided that before I start with the Florida posts I should first show you some arctic landscapes that I photographed from the plane and describe how was the long flight from Europe.
First, we took a flight from Tallinn to Helsinki because we have no direct flights from Estonia to the USA. But this is not a big deal, the flight to Helsinki is only 25 minutes long. Now the flight to the Miami international airport took us 11 hours. I had never been flown that long before and to sit all this time in my chair was agonizing. I stood up after every hour to stand in the aisle.
The flight path was also long, I have no idea why we did a long circle like that but the path took us far north and also over the mid-Greenland and that was pretty cool to see this remote place. MOstly although there was nothing to be seen because it was a blank white shield. When we got more close to coastal Greenland there were glaciers and mountains.
This is the flight path.
By the way, basically we had 11 hours of sunset because we followed the light. We started from Helsinki during the sunset and it never ended. It got a little dark before Greenland but then we outrun the darkness again. When we arrived in Florida, the sun had just set and it was an amazing sight.
This is another shot from Greenland

When we were above the sea between Canada and Greenland the water was half frozen with cool patterns of ice.
This is already Canada below us. The glaciers looked really awesome.
The next two shots are taken somewhere on the border of Georgia and Florida.
And this is the sunset in Florida, look at the stripes, spectacular!
The last shot is taken when we were about to land and we could see the shoreline of south Florida, this is crazy! It's a shitty pic taken with a phone. I had already put my camera away.
Overall I was lucky to sit next to the window with my girlfriend. Not so lucky when we flew back then we were in the middle row. Fortunately, it was okay because it was dark most of the time of flight anyway and we didn't take the cool northern path also. Flight back took us 8 and a half hours. This is almost 3 hours shorter than the flight there.

Wow! Love the icy-mountainy views! And that huge curve-path your plane took is quite interesting, I wonder, too, why it was decided upon...
I so much miss mountains. Gotta plan a trip to somewhere mountainous next!!
What madness! What a dramatic change from snow to beaches with palm trees. I hope you and your girlfriend have had spectacular moments in Florida. That is the most important.
Thanks for sharing the photos from the plane and thanks to the airline because I touch window seats hahahaha. Cheers! @greddyforce
Yes it was amazing there. Would love to go back right now nd enjoy some more sunshine and warmness.
Incredible photographs I love to see the sky very close and lit up with these beautiful colors. Good capture and good focus. I congratulate you for your good art and curie vote. Greetings.
Thank you! I always try my best.
