The First Born

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. — Colossians 1:18 (KJV).

Jesus is the head of the church, Hallelujah. Brethren, the church is not the building, but you and I. We are the living church, whose head is Christ the Lord. The implications of this is that He's the originator of our spiritual existence. Without Christ, we can't have any relationship with the Father. He's the Authority of our fellowship with God the Father. He's the one that empowers us to know more about the mysteries of God. Jesus is our authority. He's also our support, our help and our power. Run to Him, for He has everything it takes for us to be successful in life. Don't rely on your years of experience in organizations. Don't rely on the wisdom of this age. Don't rely on people's praises or recommendations. Everything else will fail, but Christ remains the head. The head is the support that doesn't need to be supported. The head is the creator that wasn't created. The head is the origin that wasn't originated. That head is Christ.

He's the beginning of all things that ever began. He's the firstborn of all creation. This is why He has preeminence in all things. Are you struggling to make things work? Are you trying to grow your spiritual life, business or carrier? Give Jesus a chance to take preeminence of all and you'll never struggle again. Christ is the only one qualified to take preeminence. He'll fix even the most uncertain situations of life. For He's our head.

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of Christ as our head. From today, we surrender everything at your feet, that you may take preeminence, in Jesus's name. Amen.
