The Light

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

There was darkness from the beginning of the world. Darkness signifies uncertainty, lack of knowledge and inactivity. Where there's darkness, no work can be carried out. In John 9:4, Jesus said, " I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work." God had to bring light into the scene before proceeding the work of creation. That light is Christ, He declared in John 8:12 "..........., I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

To fulfill your calling, you must walk in the light, don't wait for darkness. Don't mingle with sin, for sin is the custodian of darkness. Separate yourself from whatever doesn't give God the glory and the light of God shall propel you into your place of honour.

Dear Father of light, thank you for sending your light into our lives, making us the light of the world. We choose to shine till eternity and nothing can stop us, in Jesus name. Amen.
