Understanding Your Role In The Society
I've come to understand that most people end up performing poorly in their jobs or in what they do for a living - because they don't really understand what role they're playing. Most people don't spend enough time to think and understand how the world works, and what role they play in it.
The majority of the population don't end up doing what they wanted to do as kids. They do not end up achieving their dream job or occupation - as a result, they find themselves in a business or field that they don't have passion for. Hence, they just keep on drifting through life, without understanding what they're doing.
But the fact is that you can still become rich and make yourself happy, even if life did not give you that dream job you wanted. All you first have to understand now is - what are you doing now, and what's your role or importance in the society? Until people start to really comprehend why their work is important to the society, they may never perform well enough.
So many popular people have come out to say that - when growing up, they dreamed of doing a different thing from what they're doing today. As the popular saying goes - when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. You have to use what you have, to get the life you want.
But first, understand why the business or job you've found yourself is useful in the society. Understand why people pay you money for the services or the work you do. And think deeply - is there a way you can do this better, so as to earn more? Most people just keep working, without asking the why. Don't be such a person - understand your role, your value and usefulness in the society.

Working without a purpose is not fulfilling. Its more like working like a robot. But when we work with a sense of mission, it really makes a lot of difference. I'm glad I read this @greatideas.
When we understand our role in the society and the purpose of what we're doing - then one can find lots of fulfilment working. Thanks for commenting.
There's a need to find happiness in everything you do. That's the only to be persistent in doing it.And persistence is an ingredient for success.
When you've found something that makes you happy and is useful - then you've found your role in the society. Thanks for commenting.
Hi @greatideas
Finally I've managed to find some time to catch up with Steemit and read up on previously bookmarked publications.
Great read. Upvoted already,
I must admit, that you came to very interesting conclusions. One that I didn't really think about it. But yeah, what you wrote seem to be quite sensible and more often than not - we may not understand role we're playing (on top of that most people do not simply CARE about playing any role. They just want to do what they are required, get paid and work 40 hours a week).
However - as you pointed out - understanding " why their work is important to the society" may be a game changer. And being aware of ourselfs can only help.
Have a great sunday :)

I've come to find out that most people don't want to think, and understand what role they're playing. I agree with what you mentioned - perhaps they really don't care. All they want is to get paid and that's it. Unfortunately, it's impossible to make it to the top and have such a mentality. Thanks for commenting :)
Indeed @greatideas
It's not possible to make it to the top with such a mentality.
However, majority of people just want to earn to pay for their bills. They often hate their jobs, hardly ever doing anything they dreamed about. This is sad reality.
Hopefully you are making $$$ while doing something you enjoy :)
