From a dumpsite to a thriving community :medical mission done with big love and faith

Everybody is familiar with the old saying Faith moves mountains so one fine Sunday my Deutsch classmates and I decided to join a medical mission prior to a three books vocabulary exam.See below pictures of us eyebags and all.

In any charity event there are 5W's and 1H
WHERE:Resettlement area for people who used
to live on a dumpsite in Campostela,
Cebu.
WHEN :six am to 2pm Sunday July 29
WHAT medicamission covering reproductive,
dental &pediatric health
WHY :Corporate responsibility of a luxurious
hotel in Siargao,Cebu Chapter.
Philippine Medical Women Association
Charity event and a big pharmaceutical
Sponsorhip event .
HOW. :studying in between when it permits
WHO : sick citizens who cant afford medical

Looking at our happy cute customers is enough to make us forget about our exam.Its sad though that for a poor country like PhilIppines health among others are some of basic needs that are neglected.I can only imagine how many hours they walked just to get a consultation by our doctors.One can only imagine how many times they ever get checked in their lifetime.Sad situation indeed :( IMG_20180731_204917.jpg

Allow me to share a point that best expressed what a charity work should be like...

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.

I am delighted to know that the resettlement is doing well.They have sources of livelihood there like farming,creating handicrafts and poultry among others .At least they were not just relocated only to go back and settle in a different dumpsite.Volunteers were given a dozen of chicken eggs for token.I couldnt be any happier especially that I get to group study with my classmates in between as planned

The day was tiring with too many beneficiaries to cater too.Yet we went home filling satisfied because in our hearts we know we did others some good.Luckily we did all make it.Today we took the exam and my German teacher was pleased with the result.

We capped the day by visiting a local coffee shop in Liloan,Cebu.The place is a family owned business nothing fancy just a cozy place to sit back and relax under the shades of tress and crate tables.We discussed our vocabulary exams and just enjoyed each others company .Overall,it was a beautiful day.

I Hope your day is doing well.With the bad weather I am reporting to work and doing my Deutsch class with a running nose.Yet,still I remain grateful .Because I realized too many others can afford to smile with less .Hugs to everyone.Lets count out blessings not our troubles.In my way to the meet up place I saw so many people in want .How I wish to be able to go to Germany to earn more than here and be able to do something about it

Thank you for reading my post.I realized for things we value we give time.And for things we hold dear we never lost hope.Sunday is over but the images I had of that day will linger to me to eternity .Instead of recharging for an exam I with the rest of my classmates opted to work for free and in the end it was a break we all needed .I am no fan of horoscope but it seems it was right afterall.Life indeed is awesome in all its facet
