'Technomancers Technodancers' - New Original Music - Playing Around in Logic - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough
This is a random creation
from the other night, which I sort of rushed through. I began with the basic chord progression for the A section, and just began adding various layers, and if they sounded good, I rolled with it, and just kept going. It's kind of a fun way to write songs, not really planning anything, and just discovering new sounds as you go. There are two parts, as mentioned before, A and B, though I don't know how cohesively they work together. The B section has a sort of '80s video game/epic vibe, which is a bit different than the A section, but I dunno, maybe if I continue working on this, I can get it to flow together a bit better, we'll see.

The main progression for the A part
is in the first screenshot below. We're in Cminor, but there are some cool little substitutions, with an Fmajor and a Dbmajor used at certain points. This gives us the feeling that we're in Fminor (with a major tonic subbed in), but when we get to the B section, we are more clearly in Cminor, so there's sort of an ambiguity in key centers, which I think gives it an interesting vibe. I like the synth sound used for the melody line in the B part, it has a modern synth sort of clarity to it, but the timbre of a more classic, '80s game sort of synth. I think I'll let this sit for a few days/weeks, and revisit it, and see if I can't bring the parts together a bit more, and maybe add a section or two to help make the song more interesting.
Track 1, main chords, A section.
