GHOSTALIEN (Original Music) 2017 Electronic/Dance
This was one of the first tracks my friend Anthony and I really worked on when we first got into using Ableton Live. I still like it a lot. It started out with a basic dance song structure, but we really messed around with the melody and the use of some crazy sounds to act as harmonies, and it has since become something different. I always thought this song was reminiscent of some kind of epic robot battle, especially when the saw-tooth synth sound comes in. The track fades out on a beautiful tritone, giving it a very unresolved feel, and keeps the tension going to the very bitter end. Let us know what you think! Some of my friends are producers so I listen to quite a lot what they create, also while in the making. Mostly it works like you describe: They start with something and in then end it becomes something different. I guess this is with anything that require creativoty. In my line of work in which I also produce white papers etc, it is a process to come to the end and what I write at first is not what I end up with.
