'A Western Twilight' - Original Music - Throwback from 2 Years Ago, A Guitar Progression Mapped Out in Ableton - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I have a ton of random ideas

that I posted on Soundcloud, but they were all written/mixed with just my laptop (and no headphones even), and after listening to them in the car, I realized I didn't like a lot of them, haha. I think with some adjustments in track volumes, they'll be good, but stuff that I didn't hear when writing was suddenly up front, and things that were important to the tune were hidden away in the background. So, today will be a throwback! I've got so many random songs and ideas on various Soundclouds, so I don't think I'll ever run out of Throwbacks, lol.

I wrote this song on guitar

originally, and decided to map it out in Ableton so I could jam over it. I think this version actually wound up sounding pretty great, so I didn't ever record any guitar. I'd like to revisit this/re-map it with new instruments, so maybe I'll attempt that this week. There are some interesting dissonances used, which wound up sounding much jazzier with the electric piano and the electronic effects than was originally intended, though I think that worked much better. Originally, the chords were just sort of strummed in a straight pattern, which felt a little more rock/folk-esque.
